This Close To Going To The Library Everyday

This is perhaps the longest I've been without the Internet at home since we first got it. It's almost like I'm living in the 90's again. I feel so disconnected (no pun intended); I'm like missing out on my favorite websites. But then again it's also pretty refreshing for some reason. Perhaps it may also be because I have the Internet at work. I dunno, but it's weird not spending at least 3 hrs. a day surfing the net. Yikes.

Cramping My Home Life

The lack of Internet service, that is. Luckily I don't do much work at work that I can afford to update this here. Fortunately, not a lot of stuff has been happening. Kind of anti-climatic.

Resorting To Doing It At Work

No, that that "it." Blogging that is. So that's what it's like to not have internet services at home. I've resorted to posting at work. Not that I mind because I'm running out of things to do here.

Put my stock wheels on last night, because I want to do the whole sha-bang when I get all my parts installed. Plus it doesn't hurt to save on gas mileage, I guess.

So tired because I slept pretty late last night. I just kept watching TV for some unknown reason, and then I found out why: it was fate that I was to watch Alexis Bledel on Conan last night. I didn't even know she was supposed to be on! And then I got upset because I missed 3/4 of the interview. Maybe it was fate to tease me. Maybe.

My girl is funny. The reason she doesn't remember a lot of my relatives names: "They are like mice in a pet cage; they all look the same, talk the same and move the same. It's hard to distinguish Filipinos"

Dr. Sy is also funny. Upon passing Pathfinder Way Park near Sharon's house, he said, "You know, for years, because this park is near Sharon's house and Sharon's Indian, I thought is was Path-fin-der. It didn't even occur to me that it was Path-find-er"

Well That Was A Lark

Spent some time with my main girl and the boys yesterday, including going to St. Jacobs and culminating in drinking Strongbow at Cooper's Pub and walking home. Good times, and wtf? I drank?!?

Now Arvin is telling me a story of how he locked himself out of the house and how he slept in the garage. "It's all about the story"

Spontaneous Fiance

It's a rare occasion, but it's always great. Today, I had a dayoff. She didn't. I wanted to go for lunch. She brought one already. She still went with me for lunch. Ain't that a doozy.

And tomorrow...ends the four day weekend. I was really getting accustomed to the whole "not working" thing.

I have a 10km run in a couple of weeks. I really, really, really have to start training hard. Or not. I may be able to answer the question, "how well can you run 10km if you haven't really trained at all?"

Went to Moxies with the guys and realized, "we are all going to be elsewhere in the near future." Everything changes, nothing stays the same, but alas life goes on. Cherish the memories, and live for new ones. Blah.

-[upon passing a Mosque and Synangouge that were situated right beside each other]: "Why the heck would they put those two together that close? There is going to be a war now"

-[upon seeing a policeman with a radar in his hand]: "They are even trying to make money on Good Friday?"

-[while I was trying to merge onto the highway, I was following a Benz who was also trying to merge but was going painfully slow]: "Why do they have such a nice car but going so slow? I bet you they are Chinese...I bet you they are Chinese...I bet you they are Chinese...[upon me passing the aforementioned car and noticing the driver was, in fact, not Chinese]...see! I Don't Think I Can Go Back To School

Especially after taking a Microsoft Access training course (as an aside, when the heck am I even going to use that program?). I don't think I'm able to sit still and learn without falling asleep. Oh to be smart, without actually trying.

Just like to be muscular but without working out. My muscles are seriously hurting due to working out. Ouch

My Dad thinks "the gay" is going to win the Muchmusic VJ search because he knows all the answers to the music questions. wtf? My Dad watches the Muchmusic VJ search?!? Then again he also thinks judge Traci Melchor is Filipino because the last name sounds Filipino.

Spring Cleaning = Mad Ah-Chooing

Did some big cleaning in the basement today. It also means I was getting frustrated (at my parents for not throwing out more of their junk and the lack of help from my brothers), and all the dust made me sneeze a lot (which added to my frustrations). But at least it's getting cleaner. The only drawback is that I didn't enjoy the nice weather today. Oh yeah, and my marathon thing is coming up pretty darn soon. I guess I won't be beating/matching my time from last year. Oh well. I don't seem to be so bent out of shape about it. Apathy rules!

Went to White Bros. (actually now called King's Table) Fish n' Chips in T.O. with Arvin and Nina after I dropped off Sharon to network with some workmates at Jamie Kennedy's Kitchen. The halibut was haliluyah because it melt in your mouth. Then we went to the Fairmount and visited Maly at her work. I think Arvin is in love. Oh yeah, and she does the kiss-kiss thing. I guess I gotta start that now?

Meetings With Supervisors Are Like...

...I'd say something snappy, but I can't think of anything. Basically, it sucks, especially when your supervisors are all so full of themselves and idiots. Seriously.

Cha-ching! Sometimes it's okay to work on other people's mistakes and get 3.5 hours of overtime. Every little bit helps. Otherwise I may be in the same predictcament as one of my workmates, who apparently is figuring out now that attaining a $430000 mortgage may be impossible without forgoing things in the future, like food and water. Seriously, what were you thinking?

I Try...

Not to skip blog days. But somedays I don't have anything to talk about. Today, though, I do.

I did a StatsCan pre-screening test for a part-time position. It was funny because: a)there was a husband and wife team that disclosed that he once had a restraining order put on him. By her. And she was wondering if that meant she had a criminal record; and, b)after the test instructor goes, "leave box CL blank, do not write anything in it", someone (presumably someone who didn't understand english well?) five seconds later says, "what do we write in box CL?" If this is my competition, good luck to me.

Now then, if I actually get this part-time job: do I really want it? I think it would work out to something like $10-$11 an hour, but it may involve talking to people on the phone. I hate it when they call me, and I may soon be one of "they." Yikes.

Feelin' discombobulated and don't really know why. Restless, I suppose and not really wanting to work. Bleh.
