Looks like (for now) our dog dreams have gone, well, to the dogs. We both realized that we are too busy (and selfish with our time) to care for a dog. We'll still dogsit where and when we can, but to have one full-time doesn't seem feasible right now.
Maybe as our priorities change, we'll be able to fit a dog in our lifestyle.
And thus, I break one of my new year's resolution already

I was explaining to Sharon that perhaps you guys should look into adopting an adult dog. An adult dog (all breed standards aside) is typically easier to care for than a 6 month old puppy. Your "baby-step" was not so much a baby-step, if you know what I mean. Hopefully you have not been scared off the idea completely. I can't guarantee that Roz will fit into your schedule any better but I'm sure you will notice the difference between a puppy and an adult dog (though they say a dog is not fully adult until they are 2 years old so Roz is only half way there).
That's what I told Sharon!!!
Please tell her!
