Computer Crayzay

This new computer has me downloading music, doing webcamming (with my baby cousin Nina!), watching videos, making me go crazy! I will eventually get bored of it, but not anytime soon.
I have figured out some songs I would like at my wedding. I just have to get Sharon's blessing.
Tomorrow is the first day of disclosure. Time to start inspecting like crazy.
My Hallowe'en costume at work went over well. I even entered it into the contest; too bad the webteam didn't even make me a finalist. Whomp-whomp.
Hallowe'en...the day when my doorbell rings nonstop, and my dog goes bananas. Also the time I go to Lizanor's for chocolate. Score!

New Computer

So I feel discombobulated. I'm now using Windows XP and it is sort of frustrating, not to mention that I finally have a virus-check on my comp now. There are some pretty cool things, like hooking up my monitor to my TV so I can watch stuff on my TV (although the amount of time it took me to figure out how to hook it up...grrrrr...then again I'm not a "computer-guy." Now get me in front of woodworking tools...)
Anywho, Sharon and I went to her classmates Halloween Party and we dressed in costume. When I get pictures up and running on this computer again, I'll show you what I dressed up as. Apparently I'm an attention whore.

Why Didn't I Think Of That Before?

Hooking up my computer to my amp? Sounds excellent...and now I am going to get my new, "improved" computer tomorrow. Now I can watch whatever is playing on my computer onto my TV. Make your own conclusions with that one. Wink Wink.
So my ego is hurt. It's sort of bothering me that those guys were saying I sucked at basketball last night. And then I thought about it: this is the first time I've ever played in a league and in a team setting. How the hell am I supposed to know what I am doing? I am just playing the hardest position (point guard). Ah well, just gotta try harder.
If all days at work were like today, I would be fired.

Basketball Sucks

When you suck. I let the stupid heckling guys get to me and I didn't enjoy myself tonight (we lost by the way and I didn't score any points...damn). I lost focus that I was only there to get a sweat on and have fun; I shouldn't care too much what people say or how my performance was. Spoken like a true in denial wannabe playa. Hey, my life could be worse; I could be those guys who stay in the gym all night criticizing people. No, seriously.
Sigh.

*coughcough*

Sick day today.
Had a "C & Dubbs" burger. Yum.
Made cupcakes with icing (from scratch), brought it to Sharon's work and met Larry and Sandy.
Woodworking class. At the rate I'm going, my project will be done much sooner than anticipated. No complaints from me.
I almost won the $40M 6/49 draw today. I was only 4 numbers off.
Can't wait till I get to Vegas.

Never Again

Until, of course, it inevitably happens again. What am I talking about? Ironing. Everytime I stockpile about 1.5 months (minimum) worth of clothes to iron, which results in 3.5 hours (minimum) worth of ironing. And I always end up saying at least 8 times (minimum) to myself to never do it again. Then I go crazy (minimum). But at least it's done. I shall, from now on, everytime I do a load of laundry, iron right away. Right.

So my planned New York trip for the Remembrance Day weekend is cancelled. I even took off my on-call shift so I could go. But then things became apparent:
-I really should save instead of spending a lot of money
-no one is really able to go
-I really should save instead of spending a lot of money
-I am going to California/Nevada already in December
-I really should save instead of spending a lot of money
-I am planning on buying a new computer
-I really...you get it.
But now Arvin had the fabulous idea of going to Montreal instead that weekend. That sounds like a plan, a definite plan.

Girlmore Girls. Why am I watching the new episodes instead of waiting for it on DVD? I don't know, but damn. It's a heartbreaker.

Not Sore!

Hey, I'm as surprised as you are. In fact, I even went to the gym this morning to start "working out."
The things you do to avoid ironing about 1.5 months worth of clothes: go to Square One and not really buy anything but end up spending money anyway. Okay, seriously, I am going to start ironing...ummm....tomorrow.

19 Minutes, 62 Seconds

Did the CN Tower stair climb this morning, and I think the title of this post sounds better than "20 Minutes, 2 Seconds." I still maintain I did the race in an official time of 19 Minutes and 59 Seconds, because it took the guy at the end of the race at least 3 seconds to punch my time card. But nooooo. Here I was thinking I could finish it in 17 minutes. Yeah, if I was about 25 pounds lighter and in shape (although I still contend that "round" is a shape, albeit not one thoroughly desired). Still, I am proud to have done it and on 4 hours sleep. Not that I am making excuses or anything. No, not at all. Oh, and of course, Arvin beat me again:

Conquerererererers
Then I promptly went home and met up with Tony and Mel with Sharon for lunch and a "discussion" about weddings and stuff. I am not a kid anymore. Scary shit man!

Stairmaster

That's what I should have practiced on, as I embark on climbing the CN Tower tomorrow morning. Speaking of which, I should be sleeping as I am due to wake up in about 4 hours from now. Why do I do this to myself?
Well, I think it may be partly because I went bowling tonight for Melissa's and Ken's Birthday thing. Bowling is fun, especially when you impress your girlfriend. Score!

RIP To My Ninang

That I knew when I was a kid, but haven't seen in a long time until I saw her with liver cancer a couple of weekends ago. And now she died. Sharon came with my parents and I to the viewing, and saw so many kids I used to see when I was younger, except of course all grown up now.
I love you baby and you are going to have to believe me when I say "don't worry" and "I am trying." Diet's are not that fun and regardless of whether or not you think I'm trying, I am.

I Will Not Make The NBA

According to my girlfriend, whom I painfully agree with due to my abysmal performance today at my basketball game. 2 points (at the end of the game no less), 1 rebound, and the always present bunch of turnovers. Reality sucks. Ah well, at least I got a sweat on.
Found out today that my workmate Lil' Mikey bought the engagement ring he is going to give Marcy. Wow. I mean, wow.
Gotta git more fit. I am beginning to hate being plump and unhealthy.

Funny Shirt

Found by my workmate Rowena:

If by "shut up" you mean "I love you" then yeah
Woodworking is fun!

Poo-Poo

I feel ridiculous saying that to clients, especially those much older than I, who do not understand the term "stool." But hey, it works.
Finally finished my caulking job, which sort of sucks. I'd rather have my cock su...ummm, nevermind.
I am having my "I want a house" phase again. Unfortunately "no money" is not a phase; it's a reality.
I hope my girlfriend gets the job she wants, whether it be in Don Mills or in Oakville. Either or would be sah-weet.

Day Off Ending By Dreaming--errr, Yeah

I had one of my patented days off from work but very busy and somewhat productive otherwise day.
-woke up, picked up some wood from Oliver Lumber for the project I am working at in woodworking class. I am intrigued as to how many different types of wood there are. I am also discouraged as to how expensive wood it. I would love to do woodworking as a hobby when I get older, but damn it's expensive
-went to the Doctor's office with my Mom, as she is sick. I also had an appointment regarding my cholesterol test. Result: back on Crestor for the time being, and more concentration on my diet and exercise yet again. I have to focus man
-Sharon had a positive interview with a company in Don Mills. If she gets it, we might have to move in the Dixie Mall area. Assuming she agrees to it
-took my car to get rustproofed. While waiting I walked to Home Depot and bought caulking for my tub, as I am recaulking it
-Al Fernandes passed by and gave me "payment" for my work on his crown mouldings. A Hugo Boss shirt. It's nice, but a tad bit too big
-went home, and recaulked my tub. If there is one thing in renovations I absolutely hate, it's caulking. Mainly because I suck at it and it gets all over my hands. But at least it's recaulked now, and will have to be recaulked again next year. Ai
-went to watch this movie with Sharon (!):

What are they looking at?
My Mom had free tickets from work, whom she also gave to neighbours and friends, who I also saw at the theatre. Nothing like free stuff! The movie was okay, with the exception of it being very predictable and sappy. If anything, I came out of it wanting to go to the track and learning how to bet on horses. That can't be good for anyone
-and exhale. Now I don't want to go to work tomorrow. Then again that's what always happens when I have a very busy dayoff

Livin' In A Fantasy World

Fantasy Basketball World that is. I think I am assembling a good fantasy team for my Raptorblog League. We'll see. Looks like I am getting the basketball excitement again. Happens around this time every year since I became interested in the sport.
Went to Ajax today to see the Villaneuva family, whom we haven't seen in a long, long time. Awesome chocolate cake. Also found out that Gil and Marie are planning on having their wedding in late May/early June of 2007, so that should give my family enough time to recuperate for Sharon and mine's October 2007 wedding.
Also had a good, if not productive conversation with Sharon regarding our wedding. I love you baby, no matter whatever happens with our big day.
She has agreed to give me these next couple of months as my "bachelor time" so I am excused from thinking, or rather concentrating hard on our wedding. This way I can think about Vegas Baby! (Although in reality of course she's never off my mind)

Short List:

-washed car
-waterproofed deck
-broke powerwasher
-went with Sharon to Walmart, she bought me Gilmore Girls Season 4
-rented Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants
-I am still in love with Rory methinks

Old

Somehow I just felt it today. Nothing serious, but a slight case. Oh well, we all grow old sometime.
Work (or lack thereof). Should be an interesting week next week.
Went to Aristocrap for Riz's BDay. Ken and I were talking, and we agreed that it just almost seemed wrong to pay for Filipino food, only because we can get it at home.
Then we went to a lounge in Toronto called Tangerine. It had some great house music, but unfortunately there was no one inside the place! If Riz's party wasn't there, there would've been no one! Still, it was fun for me because two things that usually don't happen happened:
1. Sharon came.
2. I had a shot of alcohol. Yes, I did hold in my alcohol.
Busy day ahead tomorrow maybe.

I Gotta Get Better

I was truly sucking it up today out there on the basketball court. I think I shot like 2/8, with the requisite turnovers. Practice.
So what do I do? Go to Originals with Ken for wings. I really shouldn't, as I found out my cholesterol is high again. @#$%$Q~!!! Time to diet for real again. For real!

Okay, Got A Plan

For what I call, "Project Sharon Surprise." Although I am pretty sure it won't be a surprise. I hope it turns out good, otherwise I'll be spending a lot on wood.
Long days at work ahead I foresee. Oh well.

Blehday

Grey, drab, dreery day. Had a lot of work today though. My future purchase to continue the VC collection:

VC means other things too
I hope an all-black version comes out.
